Testing of Main Phenomenological Models of Nuclear Level Density

Svirin M. I.

The state of phenomenological description of the nuclear level densities is evaluated after testing the most important models (the Fermi gas and generalized superfluid ones) and their modifications. The analysis takes into account the experimental data and results of the calculations of various characteristics connected with the level-density description as a function of the excitation energy and nucleon composition of nuclei.
