Within the past 15 years, the electrostatic separator VASSILISSA has been used for the investigations of evaporation residues produced in the heavy ion induced complete fusion reactions. In the course of this experimental work the study of the decay properties and formation cross sections of the isotopes of elements with Z 82 was performed. Obtained experimental results together with data from other recoil separators were used for the investigations of the evaporation residues formation regularities and survival probabilities of the excited compound nuclei.
